Hello Neighbors,
The Plemons-Eakle Neighborhood Association’s first general meeting of 2019 will be Monday, Feb. 18, at Polk Street Methodist Church. The discussion will be a continuation of a conversation begun last year about speed reduction and the feasibility of bicycle lanes on Tyler and Harrison.
The City of Amarillo has hired a traffic consulting firm from Oklahoma City to help us look at various options, and a representative from this firm will be our guest on Feb. 18. Please help us spread the word, and come to the meeting to help us discuss ways to increase safety on our two busiest streets.
· When: Monday, Feb. 18 from 7-8:30 p.m.
· Where: Wesley Hall, ground floor of the Polk Street Methodist’s Family Life Center (north part of the church)
· What: a conversation with a traffic flow specialist
· Why: because speeding vehicles down Harrison and up Tyler are a hazard to pets, cyclists, children, pedestrians, and all other living things
· How: only if you come and help us address this problem!
As always, this meeting is free and open to the public.
